Carmen de los Martires

My teacher told us one day about a beautiful park in Granada. I wandered in there one day to check it out. From the park you can see views of the Alhambra and the Sierra Nevada. There are so many different gardens and statues. The park was so big that I got lost in it. Apparently, up to 7000 prisoners were held in the park in its dungeons. Many of the prisoners died here when the Catholic monarchs took over Granada from the Moors.

I was not expecting to see this. The peacocks were free to roam around.
