Dinner table one night- pescado (fish) and salad

... but I ate it

Spanish potato tortilla

I always thought the picture 4 (above) was the tortilla that was so famous in Spain. I always told Maria how much I liked the tortillas. One day she put this down and said "here's your favorite." I didn't know what she was talking about because I told her this plate was new to met. Maria didn't realize she had never made me a proper Spanish potato tortilla. I almost left without even having one of the most famous dishes in Spain!

 Maria calls these "Chino noodles" because they are so small

Anyways- it's basically pasta in a type of broth

A type of stew and my typical lunch salad

A type of carne and patas

Mom I never told you this but Maria loved meat as much as you do

Pizza :) 

After having pizza and pasta four times in one week (a little much) I told Maria (politely of course) that I'd prefer to have more typical Spanish foods because I eat a lot of that in the U.S.

I never had pizza or pasta again.
