My experience in Granada wouldn't have been the same if I hadn't lived with Maria and Julio. They were always so welcoming. Both of them just wanted to make sure I was enjoying my time in Granada. They made Granada feel like home. There were a lot of similarities between the two of them and my parents. Maria called me her child and told me to come back and honeymoon in Granada. She told me I'd always have a place to stay in Granada :) I'm pretty sure no one else in my program had as close of a relationship with their host parents as I did. My friends came to expect daily stories about my host parents. My roommates who came the last week were surprised how close I was with Maria and Julio.
