Every day Monday- Friday I go to the CML (Centro de Lenguas Modernas) and have class from 9am- 1pm. The school looks NOTHING like Indiana. It's really pretty and I like going to it a lot. This is the building I go to every morning but there is another building as well. Universidad de Granada is supposed to be a really good school. I like coming here because there's so many students from the U.S. so it's relaxing to be able to speak a little English. The first day I got lost because the room numbers are very confusing. I have two different teachers and they both teach for two hours. There are so many people from different countries in my class. There are people from Switzerland, China, Japan, France,Italy,Ireland (she doesn't live by Gallway Dad- I already asked) and Belgium. It's crazy how many different people come to Granada to study Spanish. In class we talk a lot about the culture of Spain and then we talk about our different cultures as well. Besides learning about Spain's culture, I'm learning a little bit about other countries and cultures.
In class I've learned how to order food in restaurants and bars which has been really helpful. We spent a couple classes talking about the illegal immigration that occurs in Spain. A lot of people from Morocco swim across the ocean and try to live here. I thought it was interesting because it's similar to the immigration problems between the U.S. and Mexico. I'm actually learning a lot of new words and phrases and my Spanish is coming back to me. Not a lot of the teachers/staff know/understand English so communicating so trying to communicate sometimes is interesting. We basically just spend class talking which is what I need.
